Once upon a time, there was a classically trained soprano getting ready to graduate college. Bright eyed and bushy tailed, she looked forward to all that the musical theatre world had to offer. She confided her dreams in a respected professor who promptly scoffed at her and looked down on her for not choosing opera. Defeated, this singer left college unsure of her future and feeling like a failure. Not only did she feel as if she wasn’t good enough for a career in music, but she also felt that she would never be good enough in her life at all.

Nevertheless, she persisted.

She searched high and low for inspiration, anything that would restore her confidence. Finally, she stumbled upon a musical theatre class that would change her life forever. In the company of theatre professionals, the young singer learned how to belt (finally!), learned how to audition with confidence, and most importantly, learned how to love herself and her voice once again. Now this singer is on a journey to help others nurture and love their voices the same way she had learned.

And, in case you were wondering…

That singer…is me.

I know what it feels like to lose your confidence due to abusive mentors and teachers, but what if I told you that you are enough as you are. Right now. In this very moment.

You. Are. Enough.

Now that you’ve heard my story, I would love to hear yours!
